What is the NHB capacity slab for cold storage subsidy?
NHB scheme covers cold storage projects above 5,000 MT and up to 10,000 MT in general areas. North-Eastern States are eligible from 1,000 MT and above.
What is the subsidy rate?
35% of capital cost in general areas and 50% in North-Eastern, Hilly and Scheduled areas. Source: NHB scheme guidelines (nhb.gov.in).
Are there add-on grants?
Yes. ₹5 crore add-on for Controlled Atmosphere (CA) storage and ₹2.5 crore for modernization, over and above the base subsidy.
What is the claim window?
18 months from the date of first disbursement of the term loan. Missing this window forfeits the subsidy claim.
